World of you and I

The devil danced down your street,
You tried to shun him
Dancing on a string in the pale moonlight
But without an approval the devil can't do a thing
The devil is quickly on the run

Shadows rise and fall as each day is done
Flowers would bloom profusely,
The flower of your dreams comes to you in the night
If you flicker my eyelids the flower will surely take flight

Softly smells a newborn flower,
Leaving behind its sallow past
Changing of the season creates a sharp delineating contrast
Warming breeze does its best to prove winter breathes its last

Perhaps you are one of the flowers
But maybe I'm just an outsider looking in at things
Seeing events far, but friendly, much to my dismay....
And who am I, you would ask, to speak of such things
