50) The Leaning Tower of Pisa

       Wolran Kim

This tower will never fall down, even on an incline
Your shoulders have a five point five degree, you step on the swamp
Rumor says it will split if your partner sinks
Your neck breaks down, your eyes following the leaning frame
Compose yourself along the red sky balancing the slanted gaze
Lick stigma as melted wax running down a leaned candlestick
Hang on as the round sun which sets and rises every day
Bearing tidal weight, collapsing to the ground
Power of the right hand grabbing the throat of the gradient
The world wide faces the green grass of the Duomo
The Loggia window is colossal still
Growing as a submerged plant eats the Mediterranean winds
In a Phoenician soldier’s eyes
With a silent heart, with no curfew bell sounding ever
The blue eyes, like the tower bells, open toward me falling
