Lunch box/ Kim, Youngkyo
The day,
Being left all alone in the office,
Sun, a friend of mine visited me with a lunch box.
It brought me the memory of childhood gone far behind,
Faster than an Internet click,
Touched me until the next day.
A lunch box my mom used to make for me.
Fried eggs,
Roasted anchovy,
Kimchi Juice smeared into rice, I know
Mom tried her best to feed her frail daughter.
Today I do enjoy abundance of food,
Shining rice,
Cooked bean sprouts,
Salmon steak,
Yet, they make my mouth choking.
I tried to share it with mom in my heart
like a loving daughter.
Sweet taste of those days
Leads me jumping into the bountiful season of
Autumn.
