12월은
지나간 한 해가
눈 깜빡한 순간 같고
한 살 한 살 더해가는
나이가 무거워
가슴이 철렁해지는 달
한 해 동안 받은
사랑의 기쁨과
슬프고 괴로웠던
모든 것들이
나를 키우는 시간이 었음에
감사의 기도가
저절로 나오는 달
12월은
가슴 속 무성한
잡초를 뽑아내고
새해를 위한
희망과 약속의
꽃씨를 뿌리는 달
더 아름답고
더 향기로운
시간을 위하여
가장 겸허하고
가장 순결한 기도를 바치는
12월은
기도하는 달.

December is,
When one feels like a year,
An eye-blinking moment
Adding one more year after all the years
The weight of age is so heavy
that one's heart sinks in December
All one received in a year
The joy of love
Sorrowful and painful
All happenings
Were the times to mature me up
Thus a prayer of thanksgiving
Rises naturally In December
December is when
Those lushly grown in my heart
Weeds are to be rooted out
For the coming new year
The seeds of Hope and promises
Are to be sown In December
For the more beautiful
And the more fragrant
Times ahead
The most humble and
The purest prayers to offer
