27) The Eyes of A Doll

The black paint on my pupil is peeling off
The aged imitated eyesight is surprisingly realistic
The dress made from beading already finished fading
The quilted character wanders here and there
Even far away to the forbidden swamp
Living joints often sit flat withouthope
Or crouch down beside despair
Often dropping valuable things
Because the hands and feet are not carved elaborately
People who give me hugs or let me stand
Are always shining like newproducts
Please shape me again, because I look like a monkey
I’m sure I heard that I am handmade
I was not made at random on an assembly line of placenta
The most unique product, the bestseller in this world
I am the oldest toy made by mankind
There is no birth certificate and no notice of death
I was just a doll who closed her eyes if her mom laid her down
But still, I wanted to keep my eyes open in a living body
Isn’t that looking just like a dead man’s if I close my eyes?
Surprisingly, one day, my eyes never closed even laying down
I was quite at a loss of what to do
And then, I started to get sick just like a human
Did you know? A soul lives in an old doll
