나는 시를 잘 알지 못합니다

쓰는 것은 더더욱 서툽니다

그러나 나는

시란 별들의 노래인 것을 압니다

깊은 산속 옹달샘

영혼의 샘에서 길어 올리는

청아한 노래

 

때론 아주 기쁘고 자랑스럽고

아름다움에 감탄하고

때론 슬프고 부끄럽고 후회스럽고

불의에 진노하고 절망하고,

그러나 모두 진실하고 투명하게 노래하는 것

그것이 값지다고 알고 있습니다

 

현란한 언어의 유희

어설픈 알고리즘

영혼이 꼭꼭 숨어버린 공허한 운율

그것은 나를 슬프게 합니다

초대 받지 않은 잔치입니다

 

나는 그저

맨몸으로 정직하게 일군 시어에

그대와 내가 함께 웃을 것을 믿을 뿐입니다

I am poor in poem

Rather poorer in writing it

But I know 

It’s like a song of star

Which is drawn from a fountain of soul

Which is from the valley in the deep mountainside,

In which everything is so clean and spotless

 

Which is joyful, proudful

Full of admiration on real beauty

On occasions, sadful, shameful and regretful

Leading to be mad and despaired

But exposing it honestly and faithfully,

Which is I believe precious

 

Dazing linguistic amusement

Clumsy Algorism

Spiritless rhythmical verses,

Which makes me sorrowful

Feel me in the uninvited banquet

 

I just believe, someday

We could be in sympathy and smile at together

With the innocent poetic words

Established by faithful bare hands
