81. 가을에

 

 

시월 강물에 띄우고자 한다

사랑이 불붙는 이 한 때

고뇌의 허물림을 보고자 한다

 

노을 지는 강 언덕

우계(雨季)처럼 울고 난

맑은 순간에

 

꽃이 지는 길로 몰래 와서

어느 새 걸려 있는 십일월

 

강물보다 진한 손수건을

흔들고자 한다

 

 

81. In Autumn

 

 

I will launch on October river

I will see how agony dissipates

at this time when love is all aflame

 

At a lucid moment

after weeping much like a rainy season 

on the dusky river bank

 

November came in secret along the road where flowers wither

and suddenly is now pinned on wall

 

I will wave

a handkerchief darker than the river
