79. 이 세상 끝에 서서

 

 

 꽃이 되고 싶다

 

눈 속에 묻혀 잠든

내 유년의 달빛과

저녁노을 타고 도는 가난한 생애를

잎으로 피우는

꽃이 되고 싶다

 

만져 주는 이 없어도

비바람 지나는 언덕에

아직 끝나지 않는 노래로 남아서

목청껏 부르며

평생을 나부끼고 싶다

 

친구여!

 

나 떠난 후에

비문도 새기지 말고

시문도 남기지 말아다오

살아서 한 고생 죽은 후에

세상 비바람 풍상을 또

겪게 하고 싶지 않으이

 

바람을 만난 구름이면 어떠랴

구름을 만난 바람이면 어떠랴

잠시 사르고 떠나는

붉고 고운 사랑인 것을   

 

 

79. Standing at the End of the World

 

 

I wish to be a flower

 

Turning into petals

my childhood’s moonlight and

the impoverished living ever continuing in the evening dusk

buried deep in the snow and asleep

I wish to be a flower

 

Though no one touches it

I wish to be an unfinished and lingering song  

on a hill swept by wind

singing at the top of my lungs

and reverbarating all my life

 

Friend!

 

Do not carve an epitaph

nor dedicate a verse

after I leave

I would not like to suffer again  

from the stormy wind and troubles

I suffered from while living

 

What if a cloud meet with the wind

What if the wind meet with a cloud

It’s all love, red and beautiful,

ablaze for a moment and then leaving
