78. 바보야 바보야

 

 

여기서 하늘까지 가려면

빛으로 만든 비행기로

몇 십 년을 가야 한다는데

아니, 몇 백 광년을 가도 가도

끝이 없다는데

그 넓은 하늘에서 별까지는 또

몇 천 년도 더 걸린다는데

별에서 별까지

궁창에서 궁창까지

아니, 그 중 작은 궁창보다

몇 억의 억 분의 일만도 못한 별 하나

별 하나보다 몇 만 분의 일도 안 되는

태양, 태양보다 백 삼십만 분의 일도 안 되는

지구, 지구 중의 7은 바다, 3은 땅

그 중에도 동과 서, 동 중에서도 작은 나라 코리아

거기서 또 몇 십 몇 분의 일인 서울, 그 중에서도

1000만 분의 1인 나, 나의 100분의 1도 안 되는 

눈의 크기

그 눈 속에 아주 작은 새까만 눈동자로

우주의 주인이신 하나님이 보여?

바보야 바보야 

 

 

78. Fool, Fool

 

 

They say we have to travel several hundred-thousand years

in an airplane made of light

to go to the sky from here

No, they say we can go several hundred light years

and yet will not reach there

They say it takes us longer than several thousand years still

from the vast sky to the star

From star to star

from firmament to firmament

rather, a star smaller than several of one billionth

of a small firmament of all

The sun less than several-ten-thousandth of a single

star, the earth less than one one-million-three-hundred thousandth of

the sun, 7 parts of the earth and the sea, 3 the land,

east and west of it, a small nation Korea in the east,

there, Seoul, which is one several tenth of it, there

I of 1/1300 thousand, less than 1/100 of me is

the size of my eye

Could I see God, the Lord of the universe,

with the tiny black pupil in that eye?

Fool!  Fool!
