서늘한 들녘에

태양도 몸을 가리는

가을 끝자리

 

낱낱의 이삭마저 쪼아 먹힌 노을 속

농부가 버리고 간 허수아비

 

새떼를 쫓던 아우성의 평생은

달을 보며 별을 보며

땅을 치며 울고 싶었던

 

목울음

 

새들아

여기는 내 땅이다

The end of autumn

when the sun also shields itself

in the cool countryside

 

A scarecrow deserted by a farmer

in the twilight, all ears of grain pecked

 

Shouting to shew the birds during my whole life

looking at the moon and stars

I am bursting to cry

 

loudly in tears
