어서 오너라

봄 여름 가을 겨울

목숨 가누고 무릎 꿇어 흘린 눈물

어둠을 빛으로 바꾸는 이 새벽에

잠 깨어 달려오너라

꽃이 보이고 하늘이 보이고

영원까지 보이는 순간마다

설레는 가슴 딛고 오시는

임 계신 이리로 숨 가삐 오너라

손수 발을 씻겨 주시는 손

손수 눈을 만져 띄워 주시는 손

손수 흘린 피의 사랑이 있는 여기

마른 목 축이러 달려오너라

광주리 광주리마다

보리떡 가득한 이리로

생선 가득한 이리로

홍해물결 갈라지는 소리 들리는 이리로

얍복 강가 승리의 아침이 열리는 이리로

뜨거운 20청춘 환희가 넘치는 이리로

너 가진 것 다 버리고

어서 오너라

다정하게 모여 앉을 숲 그늘이 여기 있다

서러운 눈물 닦아주고

억울한 가슴 어루만질 커단 손도 여기 있다

어서 와서 엎드려 실컨 울어라 속 시원히 통곡하라

답답하고 클클하고 무겁고 괴로운 것 받아주는 여기 와서

너 좋은 것 바꿔 가져라

52. An Invitation

 

 

Come at once

Spring, summer, fall, winter,

you wept kneeling for your hard life

Arise and come running

at this dawn when darkness turns to light

Hasten to come here where Love is,

He is walking toward your fluttering heart

every moment you see flowers and the sky

and eternity

His own hands that wash your feet,

His own hands that touch and open your eyes,

His love shown in the blood he shed are all here,

come running to quench your thirst

Where each basket

is filled with barley cake

and fishes,

where you hear the sound of the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Red Sea dividing,

where the morning ushers in the victory at the River Jabbok,

where great joy is overflowing for the young in their twenties

leave everything you have

and come at once

Here is a shade in the wood where we will sit around

Here is a big hand that will wipe away sad tears

and softly touch an oppressed heart

Come at once, prostrate yourself and cry heartily, wail all you will

Come here where all things oppressing,dull, burdensome and grievous are welcome,

leave those and take something better
