자네

비를 맞게

 

뼈 속 깊이 골 져 흐르는

빗물의 울음을 들어보게

 

우려낸 우주의 진액은

다시 목마르지 않는 쓴잔임을

예감하게

 

퍼붓는 빗발 속에

누가 걸어오는지, 그 발자국 소리를

가만 들어보게

 

한 동안 그쳤던 비가

왜 또 내리는지

말렸던 몸 다시

흠뻑 적셔보게

 

 

43. Rainy Season

 

 

Bosom friend,

get in the rain

 

Listen to the cry of rain drops

rising and falling deep in the marrow

 

Contemplate

the real substance exuding from the universe

is a bitter cup, therewith you will not thirst again

 

In the pouring rain

someone is walking, listen quietly

to the footsteps

 

Why is the rain that stopped a while

starting again

Get soaked in the rain again

though you just dried yourself
