떨리는 손을

머리에 얹고

눈을 가만 감으면

우주가 새로 열린다

 

간 곳 없는 세상에

오직 너와 나뿐

벙그는 얼굴에

우주가 담긴다

 

떨리는 손을

머리에 얹고

눈을 가만 감으면

우주의 어느 구석

외마디 흐느낌

 

울음에 젖은 눈

가만히 열면

어느 새 맑게 씻긴

새 하늘

새 땅

 

 

29. Laying Hand in Prayer

 

 

Trembling hands

laid on a head,

eyes quietly closed,

the universe opens anew

 

The world disappears

and only you and I remain,

on our radiant faces

are held the universe

 

Trembling hands

laid on a ,osed,

then a single cry

in a corner of the universe

 

Tearful eyes

gently open,

then suddenly all purified

new heaven

new earth
