때로는
황량한 사막에 꽃으로 피다가
가끔은
그 꽃 싹뚝 자르는 새파란 칼날이 되고

때로는
어둠 속 환한 등불이다가
가끔은
그 등불 꺼버리는 사나운 바람이 되지

때로는
언 가슴 녹여주는 따뜻한 입김이다가
가끔은
그 가슴 꽁꽁 얼려 죽게도 하는

한마디 말의
극명한 대비

Sometimes
It blooms as a flower in the bleak desert
At times
It becomes a razor sharp knife's edge that cuts off the very flower

Sometimes
It is a bright lamp light in the dark
At times
It turns into a fierce wind that puts out the lamp light

Sometimes
It is a warm breath that thaws a frozen heart
At times
It could make that very heart to die solidly frozen

Stark contrast
Of one spoken word.
