네 살짜리 첫아이를 데리고
공부하겠다는 남편 따라
겁 없이 태평양을 건너 왔다

서른 살 마흔 살이
썰물처럼 빠져나가는 사이
빛과 어둠으로 교차하던
수많은 날들

먼 훗날처럼 아득해 보이던
높은 층계 위에
떨어져 쌓인 발자국이 어지럽다

생의 끝 시간들을
포구에 내려놓으려는 순간
절뚝이며 다가오는 기억들

모퉁이마다 걸어놓은 풍경 뒤로
종소리처럼 멀어져가는
지난 계절이
마른기침을 한다

With 4 years old, our first baby
Accompanying the husband who wanted to study further
Fearlessly, I crossed Pacific Ocean

Thirty years,  forty years time
Ebbed out in the mean time
Crossing between light and darkness
Those countless days

Deeming just like some future day so far away
So high on top of the stair way
Piled up countless footprints are so confusing

Times that end
The moment to unload at the port
The hobbling memories approach

Behind sceneries that are hung at every corner
Disappearing just like fading sounds of a bell
Past seasons
Let out dry coughs.
