물 길러 나오시오

 

세상에서 가장 깨끗하고 맑은

물이 솟아나는 여기

이 우물가로 나오시오

 

다섯 남편을 가진

수가 성 여인보다 더 큰

죄인이라도

가난한 마음그릇 머리에 이고

이리 나오시오

 

목마르지 않는 물을 떠 주시는 분이

여기 계십니다

영생의 물을 길러

어서 나오시오

 

우주를 우려낸 진액이

여기 넘치나이다

Come out to draw water

 

Here springs the water,

the purest and the clearest in the world,

come out to the well

 

Though you may be a sinner

more terrible than the woman of Sychar

who had five husbands,

come out here

with the bowl of your poor spirit on your head

 

Here is the One

who offers you the water that will make you never thirst

Come out at once

to draw the water of eternal life

 

In it overflows

the true substance exuding from the universe
