39. 꽃과 별 사이에는

 

 

땅 위에 핀 꽃들이

하늘에 뜬 별들을

하루에 한 번씩 만나는 건

틀림이 없습니다

 

빛으로 

가슴으로

그토록 멀리

줄을 잇고 있습니다

 

별은 꽃을

꽃은 별을

사랑하기 때문입니다

 

그것은 변하지 않습니다

영원한 약속입니다

 

그래, 꽃들은 기쁨으로 피고

기쁨으로 집니다

별들도 기쁨으로 뜨고

기쁨으로 집니다

 

저렇게 떨어져 시들어 지면서도

그 속에는 우리가 모르는

커다란 기쁨이 있습니다

 

 

39. Among the Flowers and the Stars

 

 

It is certain

that the flowers blooming on earth

meet the stars rising in the sky

once a day

 

By light

by heart

each is connected to each other

from so far away

 

It’s because

a star is in love with a flower,

and a flower with a star

That does not change

That is an eternal vow

 

Yes, with joy the flowers bloom

and with joy they wither

The stars too rise with joy

and fade with joy

 

Though they fall and wither and fade in such a way,

in it there is a great joy  

we can not see
