The Abandoned Ship


Along the shore, not a soul is in sight

But for the ruins

That cannot set out to sea

Even at high tide


Only one heel was worn out

Probably because of the heavy dreams

Crumpled into yearnings

Squeaking

While tilting as the wrinkled years passed by


Dreaming of the day to go to that island

That she probably cannot recognize by now

Even the seaway she dug with her nails

Has been smothered by those years


"With the help of rough storm, I can do it."

She's not giving up her dream

While Leaning

And burying the years in the sand
