기차 여행 잠깐 쉬어가는 역전에서 가락국수 후루룩 먹던 고향의 기차역은 아니지만 뚜- 기적을 울리며 학창시절 떠남과 만남의 추억이 되새김 해오는 엠 트랙에서 그리운 기억들처럼 내가 흔들리고 있다 겨울을 나고 기지개를 하는 삼월의 푸른 들녘을 달리며 한가로이 거니는 소 떼들을 지나 떠있는 섬들에 부딪히는 하얀 파도가 그림자를 남기며 파동 치는 야자수 그늘의 산타바바라 그 곳이 벌써 종점 이란다 사람의 흔적일랑 초라한 발돋움 자연의 봄맞이 앞에 수그러진다 이십년 이민생활 처음 타고 온 기찻길이 아쉬워 승강장을 빠져나오며 되돌아본다. The white waves are breaking on the floating islands; The shadows of palm trees are covering the land. Here we are, "the Santa Barbara terminal!" , it is announced. Human movements are nothing more than struggling to stand on tiptoes. We as mortals are made humble before this nature's welcoming ceremony of spring.
