Ode to the "May Crowning" Holy mother, Maria! Tonight is the night to remember you, Blessed Mother. It's the night we gather our breaths and give them all to you. Through Lent and the Night of the Cross, your prayer made the joy of resurrection happen, Blessed Mother of purity. In this month of May when the flowers in all shapes and sizes bloom, we give Consecration of the May Crowning Candle. We hope and pray this is the night of love for you. Shaking off all your worries we have caused you, Please accept our praises and take rest even for a day today. Not in such good seasons as Spring, Summer and Fall but you gave birth to our Lord in cold Winter for us! We are still struggling in the sea of vanity and arrogance. We pray that tonight be the night to learn the true meaning of poverty. Please help us give birth to another love because of your love. Like a rose that is silent in the absolute solitude even when it is cut off, let us know the meaning of tears of Holy Mother. Help us know the happiness of having none other than you. Then we will become small starry flowers twinkling with the fragrance of humbleness. Mother Mary, our forerunner! The sin that we promised to pray but we did not. The sin that we promised to forgive but we did not. Please heal us with your mercy and love. Then we will be the breeze in this month of May and only you we will think of. Then even though evening turns into the night, we will become small grass flowers that are awake, praying till the sun comes up.
