VALENTINE’S DAY

Snowflakes
as naive as a gourd flower
blossom on the frozen branch.

It is the 14th of February,
when Valentine’s Day arrives.

The yearning heart spreads
over the acorn tree
like a fresh bud.

For whom I want to love
For whom I love
Remembering the times when I used to love

Hands of yearning
bring over a bunch of red roses
like a pomegranate about to burst.

Because love is a lively stream
it comes in even though eyes are closed.

Because love is a silver sunshine
it comes in even though the window is closed.

Love
comes back as a low tone
even though the ear is closed.

The eternal echo
knocks on the door.

I am now the stem of a thorny rose,
bent towards you.

You come to me and
become a stem of a flower,
become a secluded fragrance.

On the street are the yearning sounds
of people’s footsteps on Valentine’s Day,
burning a fire of love,
searching for a cold mind.
