바위섬

커다란 물고기 하나
바다 위에
엎드려 있다

돌아오지 않은 어부들의
물위에 떠다니는 혼
파도에 밀려 온
젊은 아내들의 울움
켜켜히 비늘로 쌓으며

건장한 어깨
물 위에 들어 내고도
훌쩍 떠나지 못함은
젊는 꿈 통째 삼켜버린
바다의 무거움 때문일까

덕지덕지 않은 비명
검게 타버린 갈증
단단한 돌덩어리로 굳은 채
엎드려 응시하는 심연
바닥에 흩어진 조각 난 꿈을 찿나보다

A Rock Islet
               Cha SinJae

One large fish
On the sea
Lies flat face down

With scales in layers
Of the floating souls of
Those fishermen who did not return
And of the wailings of those young wives
Swept on by the waves

Strong shoulders
Showing off above sea surface
Yet, unable to move on lightly
Was it because of the weights
Placed upon by the Sea that engulfed young dreams?

Those screams that kept in thick layers
The thirst that got burnt black
Gotten hardened into a lump of rock
Must be gazing down deep below the sea
Searching for the shattered dreams that fell at the bottom in pieces
