A LAKE IN A FOOTPRINT

In the pouring rain a couple of days ago

who in what mind must have

walked on this corner of the hill?

The sky sat in the footprint filled with water

the round sky in a small puddle

even a cloud floats by gently.

Next to the smallest lake in the world

I left the path of my journey.

I too in my walking daily in this mundane life

wish to make a lake.

For a lonely heart with no place to attach itself

or for a solitary you,

I wish to be set down as a small lake in a footprint.

In your moment's crouching down from the weight of your day,

you will discover an occasional water beetle crossing it,

on a windy night, in the shower of stars

baby stars will play, whispering,

quietly leaving a stargazer filled with hope and dreams. 

발자국 호수

억수로 비 쏟던 엊그제

어느 누가 어떤 마음으로

이 언덕 모퉁이를 걸어갔을까요

물 고인 발자국 안에 내려앉은 하늘

작은 웅덩이에 동그만 하늘

구름도 산드르 떠 있습니다

세상에서 제일 작은 호숫가에서

그만 가던 길을 놓아 버렸습니다.

나도 일상을 성큼성큼 걸어가다가

작은 호수 하나 만들고 싶습니다.

붙일 곳 없는 어떤 쓸쓸한 마음에게

혹은 적적한 당신에게

작은 발자국 호수로 놓여

지질린 낮에 잠깐 옹크리고 앉으면

어쩌다가는 물방개 한 마리 건너오고

바람 부는 밤, 별 소나기 쏟아질 때는

아기별들 소곤소곤 놀다가

별바래기 하나 가만히 놓고 가는 호수
