13. 바람노래

 

 

나는 바람이다

 

보이지 않게 떠돌아다니며

온갖 짓 다 하고도

아직 멈추지 못하는 나는

회한에 젖은

바람이다

 

속살 깊숙이

눈물 나는 역사 

뜬눈으로 지새운 생애에

깃발 하나 꽂지 못한 나는

아무 말도 할 수 없는

바람이다

 

그래도 미칠 줄은 알아서

꽃을 흔들고 나무를 흔들고

미쳐서 하늘로 떠올라

소낙비와 눈보라를 몰아다가

네 전신에 퍼부었느니라

 

무시로 나고 죽는 목숨

차고 더운 눈물에 흐느끼다가

허공에 헹구는 설움

나 홀로 깨어서 운다

 

나를 키워준 하늘이여!

이제는 사랑하는 것이 되어

돌아오는 뉘우침이 되어

뼈와 살이 갈리는

이 밤의 아픔을

알으소서

 

 

13. The Song of the Wind

 

 

I am wind

 T

Wandering invisible

doing all kinds of things

and unable to stop, I

am wind

remorseful

 

A tale mournful

deep in the flesh

Unable to set a banner

all through my sleepless life, I

am wind

unable to utter a word

 

But I know how to be wild

and I shook trees and blossoms,

blew wildly into the sky,

swept showers and snowstorms

and poured them all over you

 

Endless birth and death,

I sob cold and hot

and in heaven-reaching sorrow

I wake up and weep alone

 

The heavens that raised me!

Fathom

the pain this night

to be in love

to be remorseful afresh

to be afflicted in the flesh and bones
