새해를 열며

    - 계절을 위한 기도 -
                차신재

올 봄엔 

가장 싱싱하고 예쁜 꽃으로 피어야지
아름다운 생각 향기로운 말만 하면서
외로운 사람들의 착한 길동무가 되어야지
내 욕심과 이기심 때문에 
죄 없는 꽃가지를 상처내지 말아야지
언제나 따뜻한 목숨으로 깨어있어 
가난한 영혼들에게 인색하지 말아야지
그리고 여름을 맞아야지 

올 여름엔
가장 시원한 바람이 되어야지
세상살이 뜨거워 타들어 가는 가슴에
맑고 푸른 노래로 찾아가야지
미움과 불평의 가시가 고개를 들 때에는 
용서와 사랑의 불로 태워버리고

늘 시원하고 기분 좋은 몸짓으로
남들이 싫어하는 일은 내가 먼저 해야지 
그리고 가을을 맞아야지

올 가을엔
가장 탐스럽게 잘 익은 열매가 되어야지
세월의 무게에 꿈이 휘어질 때면 
가느다란 줄기 위에서 
뜨거운 시간을 견딘 그 단단한 자부심
소쿠리에 가득 담아 보아야지
비바람 속에 휘청거리는 꿈 다시 일으켜        
알알이 눈부시게 익어가야지
그리고 겨울을 맞아야지

올 겨울엔
가장 밝고 따뜻한 햇볕이 되어야지
매일 아침을 환한 설레임으로 열며
감사와 기쁨으로 하루를 시작해야지
삶의 가시에 찔려 신음하는 영혼 만나면
그 아픔 따뜻이 쓰다듬고 안아 주어야지
살다가 문득 쓸쓸해져도 흐느끼지 말고

외로운 목숨 또한 축복임을 감사해야지 
그리고 다시 설레임의 봄을 맞아야지.



올해도 어김없이

365장의 백지를 선물로 받으며

하나님께 바치는 한 해의 첫 시간

엎드린 내 머리를 쓰다듬으며

 “그래, 너는 할 수 있다”

빙그레 웃으시는 나의 하나님

그 환한 은혜의 빛 속에서 나도

어둠을 태우는 한 자루 촛불이 되게하소서

       - A Prayer for  Seasons

This Spring

As the freshest and prettiest flower, I shall bloom  

Speaking only beautiful thoughts and fragrant words

An excellent companion to lonely people, I shall be

Because of my greed and selfishness

No stem of no-fault, I shall hurt

Always fully awake, as a warm soul

To the poor, I shall not be miserly 

And then, greet Summer

This Summer

The coolest breeze, I shall be 

To the hearts being burnt to black by tough living

As a clear and blue song, I shall visit them

When thorns of hatred and complaints raise heads

With the fire of forgiveness and love, I shall burn them 

In body gestures of  ever cool and pleasant feeling

The works others hate doing, I shall be doing

And then, greet Autumn

This Fall

The most desirable, well ripen fruit, I shall be

When dreams get bent by heavyweights of times

Upon a lean branch, I shall stand and

Hardened self-esteem that endured hours of heat

In a basket, I shall gather them to the brim

Raising the dreams faltered by rainstorms 

Grain by grain fully ripened fruit, I shall be

And then greet the winter

This Winter

The most bright and warm sunbeam, I shall be

Opening every morn with a cheerful throbbing heart

Gratefully and Joyfully, I shall live day today  

Any moaning soul pricked by thorns of life when I meet

The pain, I shall have stroke down in my embrace

When casually I'd be swept by loneliness, I will not sob

Even lonesome life is a blessing, so I shall thank for it

And I will greet the spring of the throbbing heart

This year also without fail

Receiving 365 blank pages as a gift

The first hour of a new year that I dedicate to God

Padding my prostrated lowered head

"Yes, you can do it."

Lovingly smiling God of mine

In His bright light of grace, may I

Become candlelight to burn darkness around

새해 첫날 아침
또 다시
365장의 백지를 받습니다
한 장도 빠짐없이
정직하고 성실하게 채우라 합니다

올 겨울엔
가장 밝고 따뜻한 햇볕이 되어야지
매일 아침을 환한 설레임으로 열며
기쁘게 하루를 살아야지
삶의 가시에 찔려 신음하는 영혼 만나면
그 가시 빼어주며 따뜻이 쓰다듬어 주어야지
살다가 문득 쓸쓸해져도 남의 탓 하지 말고
보람과 감사로 후회 없는 하루를 마무리 해야지
그리고 봄을 맞아야지

올 봄엔

New Year's morning
Once again
I received 365 blank pages
Which I am to fill
Honestly and sincerely every page without fail

This Winter
I shall be the most bright and warm sun beam
Opening every morning with brightly throbbing heart
I shall live day to day joyfully
When I meet any moaning soul pricked by thorns of life
I shall pull out thoe thorns and stroke down
Even when I'd be swept by loneliness, I will not blame others
I shall finish a day rewardingly and gratefully without regrets
And then, greet Spring

This Spring
I shall bloom as the most beautiful flower
Filled with beautiful thoughts, speaking only fragrant words
I shall become a good companion to those lonely people
Because of my greed and selfishness
I shall hurt no stem of no fault
Fully being awaken, always as a warm soul
I shall not be miserly to the poor
And then, greet Summer

This Summer
I shall be the most cool breeze
To those hearts burnt to black by tough living
I shall visit them as a clear song
When the thorns of hatred and complaints raise their heads
I shall burn them with love and thanks giving
In body gestures of  cool and good feeling
Becoming the first to do those works which others hate doing
And then, greet Autumn

This Fall
I shall be the most desirable, well ripen fruit
When dreams get bent due to heavy weights of the times
I shall try to gather up bamboo basket full
The hardened self esteem that endured hours of heat
Upon thin branches
Raising up those dreams that falter to the winds
I shall fill all those 365 blank pages frugally
In such ways, I shall live a year without any regret

The first day's sun of the new year is glitteringly bright
The first hour that I dedicate to God
Padding my prostrated low head
"Yes, you can do it"
Lovingly smiling God of mine
It appears that only good things would happen this year.
