편지 한 장

편지 한 장

구곡간장 절절한 사연
산 넘고 물 건너
애타는 가슴에 한줄기 물살

얇은 종잇장에
풍선처럼 부푼 마음 매 달고
연처럼 띄워 보내 온 한줄기 빛살

저울로 달 수 없는
보석 같은 마음이
깃털처럼 가벼운 붓살로

써 내려 간 연연한 노랫가락
시냇물 흐르 듯 유연하다

나를 울리기도 웃기기도 하는 광대
외로울 땐 긁적거리다가
끝내 못 부치는 마음 한 조각

수신인이 없는 편지 한 장이
마음에 수수께끼처럼 매달려 있다
 

언젠가 부쳐질 기대감으로
설레며 살아간다
온 하늘을 도배질할 편지 한 장이....

A Letter

A heart, once wrenched, burnt with love,

A loving soul, blessed from above.

Fell for the yearning, from distance far,

With laps of waters, like a shooting star.

Buoyant with hope, like a vibrant balloon,

You bind your heart to a paper, so soon.

Let it fly like a kite, 'neath the sunlight's gleam.

A heart of gold, a love supreme.

Unmeasurable, it writes a sweet melody,

With a brush of light feathers, pure and free.

It flows gently, a stream so serene.

A clown, you make me laugh or keen.

In moments of loneliness, words start to sprawl,

Like scribbling on paper, a heart's silent call.

Yet, there's hesitation, a letter unsent,

An unfinished piece, a mind's lament.

A letter with no addressee,

Suspended by my heart, a riddle to be.

Someday, I'll mail it, fluttering to you,

Painting the sky with emotions true.

So, this letter, yet to be unfurled,

A testament to love, in this vast world.
