My wife
does things
in ways and with thoughts
different from mine

We argue
and fight
and sometimes I even regret
getting married
but I am happy

my wife spends sleepless nights

I'm usually snoring away

Sometimes
I open my eyes
because the spot next to me
feels empty
and find my wife unable to sleep

Of course
I comfort and soothe her
so she can fall back asleep

And
as I hold her hand
I hear the sound of her
drifting into a deep sleep.
