41. 봄 마중

 

 

새 봄 이파리에

손가락 끝을 가만 대어 본다

 

햇덩어리 붉은 영원

그 끝에서 보내온 편지 같은 거

 

펄펄 끓는 사랑의 빛

일시에 기별하는 만세 같은 거

 

잎잎이 울부짖어 손을 내 젓는

뼈와 살의 아우성 깃발 같은 거

 

목숨이여!

혁명이여!

부활이여!

 

태초부터 나부낀

이 순수를 어이할거나

 

봄 이파리 가만 당겨

두 볼에 사알짝 대어 본다

 

 

41. Greeting Spring

 

 

Quietly I put the tip of my finger

on a fresh spring leaf

 

Something like a letter from a far end

of eternity ablaze as the red sun

 

Something like the cheers that signal at once

the light of ardent love

 

Something like a banner of an outcry of flesh and bones,

wailing and waving hands leaf by leaf

 

Life!

Revolution!

Resurrection!

 

What should I do with this purity

that began from the beginning

 

Gently I touch a spring leaf and

softly pull it toward my cheeks
