할아버지 마음

 

으앙 으앙

언제였던가?

엄마 바깥 세상에 선보이던 순간

기대와 기쁨으로 들 뜬 온가족의 환영 속에

내차게 화답하던 여린 포르테시모

 

해가 뜨고 달이 지고

날아가는 세월 따라

바뀌는 계절 속에

무럭무럭 자라는 작은 용사

 

첫돌 두 돐 세돐…

차곡차곡 조그만 옹달샘에 웅크렸던

할아버지의 그윽한 자애

어느덧 터진 봇물되어

보고픔에 마음조차 시리다

 

오늘따라

따르는 막걸리 한잔술에 어른거린 피붙이 사랑

그리움과 외로움이 엉킨 마음의 창틀을 벗삼아

덮석 한 폭의 그림 속에 담는다

  

* 화가 친구에게서 보고파 하는 손자 얘기를 듣고...

When was it?

The moment of his debut to the new world

Waa Waa Waa!

The fortissimo, the very first cry of the newborn

To the welcoming and greeting from everyone

In full of excitement and elation

 

Sunrises and then the moonset

Time flies

As the seasons keep on changing

While the little hero, growing strong

 

His first, then second and third birthday comes one after another…

Along with his grandpa’s bountiful blessing and love

Being stored in a small fountain full

That burst into an ocean

Missing his grandson so much that aches

 

Today of all days

With a company of loneliness so heartily

He raises a glass of rice wine

That reflects the looming over the window, the little face

And his fingers wink with the brush

frame it a masterpiece of drawing
