Sinning is a must…

It would not be advisable to write about religious concepts here, as this is a literature club site, although that point is debatable. It says to avoid talking about religion and politics in social gatherings, especially with friends and family members. 
 

Nevertheless, I recently came across some lines from a religious holy book that appear exceptionally powerful. I would like to share a couple of them here.
 

It is widely accepted that the foundational principle of all major religions is to live in accordance with righteousness. But, the line of this particular holy book introduces that humans must sin first then seek forgiveness. When innocent individuals are identified, they will be removed and replaced by those who have committed sins. Therefore, the replaced individuals ought to seek forgiveness to sustain the relationship between God and humans by obedience. 
 

Needless to say, none of us is innocent in this world as we commit sins whether on purpose or by mistake during our lifetime. Most religions guide and encourage us to repent for our sins and make amends. Even non-believers, if they are conscientious enough, will repent and ask for forgiveness. 
 

Secondly, most of the religion teaches afterlife or redemption. When you repent of your sins, you will be rewarded or have a place in heaven. Again, this particular religion’s teaching differs from the others by teaching that everyone is sent to hell first after death regardless of whether you lived rightly or not in this world. More bizarrely, many Satan will be summoned, forcing you to kneel and taking you to the hell. After that, God judges who should be raised from hell to the next stage according to the level of obedience they showed when alive but at low expectations.
 

We all know it’s mysterious and hard to grasp how God operates his realms and foundations. However, this particular religion’s teaching is so dissimilar to established beliefs that it is remote from the dogmas of other faiths.
 

On the contrary, my Christian faith is based on repenting of my sins, no matter how despicable they are, yet believing in the Redeemer awards salvation in love and hope.
