횔짝 핀 튤립

   활짝 핀 튤립 꽃

 살벌한 싸움과 미움의 어두운 그림자가

드리운 이 땅 위에

알록달록 곱게 피어 밝은 웃음으로 반겨주네

멍든 마음, 얼룩진 영혼 쓰다듬으며

다소곳 피어, 내 가슴에 파란 새순을 돋게 하네

흰 꽃, 진분홍 꽃, 노랑 꽃으로 겉을 두르고

자색 화방으로 나비를 부르네

장미 꽃처럼 요염하지도

코스모스 처럼 가냘프지도

함박 꽃처럼 탐스럽지도 않지만

어쩐지 소담하면서도

내 마음을 토닥거리는 여운이 절절하네

이처럼 어여쁘게

당신을 빚은 신은

감성이 풍성한 아름다운 멋쟁이 시인이시라네

나는 당신의 어여쁜 신부가 되어

비릿한 세상에

당신의 그윽한 향기로 물들이고

당신의 아름다움으로 가득 채우고 싶네.

 Tulips in Bloom

On this earth, marred by conflict and shadowed by hate,
The tulips bloom in radiant hues,
Welcoming me with their gentle smiles in Descanso Garden.

They soothe my weary mind,
Silently mending my bruised soul,
Healing my broken heart,
Where new green sprouts now bud.

Draped in white, scarlet, and golden tones,
They beckon butterflies to their waiting petals.

They may not hold the grandeur of roses,
Nor the slender grace of cosmos,
Nor the coveted beauty of peonies,
Yet, they captivate me,
Echoing like the toll of a distant bell.

The longer I behold them,
The deeper I sink into their enchanting beauty.

I marvel at the invisible hand that sculpted them,
A divine poet, weaving emotions into creation.

If I were a crimson tulip, beloved and pure,
I would fill this world with fragrance,
Cleansing its decay with elegance and grace.
