Children of the kingdom of beggars
are tired of waiting for the King,
who promised to bring white bread.
They started to fall asleep.
On their cheeks,
tears hung like dew.

The king
did not return.

The king donned a blue jail uniform.
He was caught picking up the leftover bread
after a masked ball,
given by people who called themselves a Chosen People.

A little princess comes to visit her king,
putting a piece of a dry bread through the red bars.
She covers her face with red gloves
and runs fast into the cold wind,
after she sees the king, who looks drained
and paler than ever.

The hearts of the people of the kingdom of beggars are sore,
when they press with hands,
their hearts are about to explore-
a stream of blood mixed with sadness and bitterness.

Their prayer is a lamentation,
allowing them to have just a handful of light.
The wind never stops blowing in the kingdom of beggars.
And today, the rain starts to fall pitter-patter.
