흘러가는 물 위에 날 띄워놓고서
종종거리며 따라오는 그대여
가고픈 곳 절반도 못가
발걸음 멈추시네

꽃잎하나 나붓나붓
맴도는 어귀에서
밀치락달치락
가슴 찢는 나뭇가지

오롯한 몸 무지러져
허리차고 오른 물
온통 뒤집어쓰며
나락에 구기박질 했네

으츠러지게 날 떠나보낸 그대여
애운 하시리
그리움 다시 접어
또 띄워 주시구려
마침모르는 꽃샘바람
걸치는 곳 없는 곳에

On the flowing stream,
You let me float along.
You are following me in small steps,
But your step halt
Even before half way from me.
On a corner of the stream
Where a flower petal lingers,
A twig is tearing me apart,
Pushed and tugged
My body getting torn apart
Water invades me
And I am sinking.
Sinking to the bottom!
Slowly sinking to the bottom
As a crumbled web of saddened being,
My dear-
you coldly sent me off
But aren't you sad?
Rekindle your yearning-
And load your heart this boat.
Off seasoned chilly air
Will not touch this boat!
