About the publishers
This publication is the third annual chapbook created by students at Salt Lake Community College enrolled in the English 1820 Publications and Studies.
This collection is from the trials, tribulations and triumphs of Wolran Kim. The book shows the struggles she went through while coming to a foreign country. Readers are granted a glimpse into the delights and dilemmas she came to realize as she discovered the world as it unfolded around her.
With her first language being Korean translating them into English it was fascinating to learn the similarities and differences of expressions between the languages.
We were all honored to have been a part of this diverse anthology of the author’s life. An experience like no other we worked together as a team and hand-in-hand with the author to spotlight her great work.
The students in English 1820 created this book in its entirety, from designing and laying out the text and cover to the cutting and binding of the books.
We hope you enjoy this as much as we have.
