1952년에 만난 담임 선생님* / 이일영

             

새벽 참에 

까치 소리와 함께

홀연히 우리동네에 나비처럼 오신 선생님

 

개나리 꽃 교정에서 처음 뵌

베이지 색 신식 투피스 차림의 눈 부신 마돈나

 

그의 섬세한 손길에 내 조그만 손이 포개어져 걷는 등교길은

나의 작은 가슴 울리는 감동의 주머니

 

그의 살가운 미소와 책 내음 가득한 서재에서

뭉치로 쌓인 시험지 채점을 도우면서 나는 뿌듯한 충만감에 젖었고

방금 소세한 듯 화장 말끔히 지운 촉촉한 비누 내음새

싱그러운 그의 숨결 가까이

나는 한웅큼 행복의 포도알 깨물었나싶다

 

겹겹의 세월이 지난 창가에 이미 희소식 까치는 없지만

내 유년의 티없는 동심을 그토록 출렁이게 하셨던

꿈속에서 조차 뵙고픈 담임 선생님

My Class Teacher, I met in 1952 

     

 

Together with a magpie's song at dawn,

She came to our village suddenly.

 

At the time of golden-bell flowers blooming,

I saw her first time in beige colored two pieces,

Just looked like a brilliant Madonna.

 

When attending school, I was led by her hand in hand,

She made a deep impression on my little heart.

 

As she let me give marks on lots of test papers on behalf of her

In the midst of the book smells of her study, I was very proud of myself. 

 

To feel very close to her fresh breathing and soap scent after a shower

Made me almost bite a handful of grapes of happiness.

 

Although there's no magpie's good news at the window for 67 years,

I'm now really missing her even in a dream,

Who moved my innocent child's mind like a flood.
