도시의 소음 떠나

산속 고요 속에 머물다

고요 아닌 고요의 연주를 듣는다

 

장구한 세월의 희비

켜켜이 깎아내린 바위 휘감는 마왕*의 바람과

심혈관 지하수맥으로 이어진 폭포와

계곡의 포르테 행군

 

짙은 안개 적막을 깨는 날짐승들의 비바체 몸짓과

밤하늘 쏟아져 내리는 별빛 라르고 합창

 

은빛 달무리 밤새 찰랑이는

호수의 피아니시모 율동에 이어

새벽 산사山寺를 가르는

풍경 목탁의 그라베 울림

 

고요 아닌 고요 속

마에스트로 산의 연주는

늘 나를 전율케 한다

 The Maestro* Mountain

 

 

Leaving the noisiness of the city,

I stay in the mountain quietly

Enjoying the performance of calmness by a gong.

 

The musical wind of Erlkoenig* surrounding the rock

Cut extremely steep by joy and sorrow for a long time,

The marching of forte by the stream and waterfall

Connected to heart-vein and water-vein under ground.

 

The gestures of vivace of the flying animals

Breaking the stillness in a heavy mist,

The choir of largo in a star-light falling from the night sky.

 

The rhythm of lake's pianissimo lapping through the night

By the silver ring around the moon,

The grave vibration of a wind-bell, a wooden gong

Going through the temple at dawn in the mountains.

 

In the quiescence of a gong

The Maestro mountain's performance

Gives me the shivers always.
