19. 피아노

 

 

저녁마다 너는 운다

 

하루를 돌아온 여린 손가락 끝에서

부서져 내리는 시간을 떠받치며

죽었던 함성이 깨어난다

 

굳게 잠긴 영원을 두드리면

천년 쓰러진 밤도 일어나

맑게 씻은 얼굴로 웃고 오는데

 

바람 속에 울고 가선

끝내

돌아오지 못하는 것아!

 

기다림에 타는 저녁이면

그 육중한 몸에

눈물 괸다

 

 

19. The Piano

 

 

Every evening you wail

 

Dead outcry awakes

from the tip of tender fingers at the end of the day

holding up tumbling time  

 

Knock on eternity locked,

a night that has fallen a thousand years rises

and comes with a smile on its washed face

 

O that which goes away is weeping in the wind

never

to return!

 

In the evening it awaits ardently

tears welling

in that ponderous body
