당신이 아플 땐

내가 같이 앓고

보이지 않는 줄이 생겨

설음과 기쁨을 같이 매고 있어서

울고 웃는 순간이 한 치도 오차 없네

 

우리 서로 이렇게 살다가

목숨은 시들어 땅에 누울지라도

우리 둘의 다사로운 숨결은

우리 떠난 주소에 그냥 남아서

 

잠 못 드는 사랑, 평생을 깨어

눈물 묻은 볼 부비며

뜨거운 노을로 타오르겠네

When you were ill

I also groaned

and when I was ill

you also groaned

 

Between you and me

came to be an invisible thread

binding our sorrows and joys together

Now we cry and laugh always at the same time

 

Though we wither and lie down in dirt

after a time of living together

our warm breath

will remain at the address we shall depart from

 

In our vigilant love we will stay awake

and be aglow as ardent twilight,

rubbing our teary cheeks
